Jeep enthusiasts have something big to look forward to as the all-new Compass gets ready to make its grand debut this spring. Stellantis has pulled back the curtain just a little more, teasing the refreshed design of its popular SUV ahead of its European launch. While the new Compass is confirmed to hit the roads in Europe later this year, North American fans might have to wait a bit longer.
A Fresh Look with Iconic Jeep DNA
With each teaser, it’s becoming clearer that the next-generation Jeep Compass is getting a bold makeover while staying true to its rugged roots. One of the most striking updates is the redesigned front end, featuring the brand’s signature seven-slot grille, now flanked by sharper, boxier LED headlights reminiscent of the Jeep Recon. The rear sees a sleek update as well, with LED taillights that seamlessly follow the shoulder lines, giving it a more sculpted look.

Built on Stellantis’ STLA Medium platform—a versatile architecture underpinning models like the Peugeot 3008/5008, Opel Grandland, and DS 7—the new Compass will offer multiple powertrain options. Expect traditional hybrid and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) choices, with a fully electric variant also in the pipeline. Certain trims will boast all-wheel drive, ensuring that the Compass maintains its off-road credibility despite the shift toward electrification.
Manufactured in Italy, But North America Awaits
Production of the new Compass is set to begin in Italy at Stellantis’ Melfi plant, a move confirmed last month by company spokesperson Lou Ann Gosselin. However, plans for the North American market are still under review. Stellantis has temporarily paused Compass production at its Brampton Assembly Plant in Canada, signaling a broader strategic rethink for its lineup in the U.S. and Canada.
There’s even speculation that Stellantis may delay the launch of the electric Compass in North America, potentially pushing its release back by a year. While European customers will see the new SUV arrive in the second half of 2025, there’s no firm timeline yet for when it will cross the Atlantic.
Tech, Performance, and Jeep’s Adventurous Spirit
Stellantis is promising “affordable Jeep capability, best-in-class performance, and state-of-the-art technology” with the revamped Compass. Given the company’s recent focus on connectivity and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), the new model is expected to offer cutting-edge features for both safety and convenience. Expect an upgraded infotainment system, improved interior materials, and a design that leans into Jeep’s adventurous heritage—possibly taking inspiration from the sportier Jeep Avenger.

As the countdown to its global debut continues, Jeep is keeping the excitement alive with more glimpses of what’s to come. For now, European buyers can mark their calendars for late 2025, while North American fans will have to hold on a little longer. But with bold styling, electrified powertrains, and Jeep’s signature off-road DNA, the wait for the new Compass might just be worth it.
